What is limiting you from living a courageous life

WHAT IS LIMITING YOU FROM LIVING A COURAGEOUS LIFE?

(Your only limit is sitting right there on your seat)

It is not your wife, it is not your husband, it is not the kids, it is not your parents – not your work, or anything or anyone else you may want to blame – it is you.
“Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow, is ours to win or lose”

Deuteronomy 31:6 – “Be strong, courageous [dapper] and firm; fear not nor be in terror before them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not fail you or forsake you.”

Isaiah 2:2-3 (Amp) – 2Now it will come to pass that in the last days the mountain of the house of the Lord will be [firmly] established as the highest of the mountains, and will be exalted above the hills; and all the nations will stream to it. 3And many people shall come and say, “Come, let us go up the mountain of the Lord, to the house (temple) of the God of Jacob; that He may teach us His ways and that we may walk in His paths.” For the law will go out from Zion and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
More, increase, greater, better, is clearly God’s direction and pattern for every child.

As you and I begin to go up to the next level of growth that God has called us too.
People will see it and be drawn to Jesus – as a result of our obedience

3 Kinds of People

1)        Those who will press on and excel [uitblink]

Raising the standard is exciting and very rewarding
This is a Momentum Maker kind of person
Accepts the challenge willingly and does what he says.

2)        Those who choose average

I’m happy just to stay the way I am and do life like I’ve always done it.
But, staying the same may be more than less but it so much less than more
They don’t really believe raising the bar is possible (Example of a High jumper) – just happy to leave it where it is. (Far too many Christians retreat instead of advancing)

3)        Then there are those who just plod along

Low life – going through the motions – but their lives have no effect – make no difference
They want the bar to be lowered so that they can also meet their low standard (They want to compromise and have Jesus)

It is very clear

A committed life is one that raises the bar – desires a higher level – more of a Jesus life (John 3:30 life)
Our usefulness to God is determined by our commitment to Him (God won’t use a lazy Christian)
The higher you are willing to set the bar of God’s standards for your life – the greater the fire – the more effective you will be for God

You and I need to be constantly challenging our lives

To change – to go higher – to excel
To raise the standard – Isaiah 59:19 (KJV) – So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.  – (We don’t retreat – we advance)
This is one area you cannot fake it till you make it

The truth is

If you want to continue to live in the low life or the average life, there are

things from God you will never have
things you won’t hear
things you won’t experience
There are far too many poor weak defeated Christians because of the limits in their life.

If you don’t decide to go higher to raise the standard – there are things God will never be able to accomplish in your life
On the other side

Raising the Standard – going higher – excelling – attempting more

Will take effort
It is not always going to be fun
It is going to take hard work
It will mean sacrifice
It will mean giving up things

Daniel chose – Character over comfort / Discipline over disorder
But it is when you begin to raise the Standard of your life – you will suddenly begin to

Hear things
To see things
Experience things as never before
The vision will get clearer and better
You will see the path open to your real purpose
Your life will begin to make sense
You will begin to understand your real value in God’s Kingdom

Sadly, so many Christians never experience this deep, powerful, effective, profound [diepgaande] relationship with FATHER God
Let us do as John Wesley said –

Do all the good you can
By all the means you can
In all the ways you can
In all the places you can
At all the times you can
To all the people you can
As long as ever you can

Just remember this – life is not a rehearsal –

This is it
You get one life
Live it to the max

Promise – Isaiah 42:9 (Amp) – “Indeed, the former things have come to pass, now I declare new things; before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.”
