There is Nothing too hard for God
“For this is our God forever and forever; He will be our guide even
to the end.” – Psalm 48:14
The truth is in these days many of God’s people are discouraged, despondent and filled with doubt.
The devil is the author of discouragement, despondency and doubt
Many encounter defeats but we must not be defeated
When we look at the world with all of its trials, troubles, tribulations and heartaches we sometimes ask:
Where is God?
Why doesn’t He do something?
Is God able?
Jeremiah 32:17 answers the question
Jeremiah 32:17 – Ah Sovereign Lord you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.
The bible has over 30 000 promises all of which are “yes and in Him amen” – 2 Corinthians 1:20
They are absolutely sure
2 Peter 1:4 – Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires
#1. The Majesty of God’s limitless power
God told Abraham that he was going to have a son in his old age
Abraham was a bit surprised about it.
God asked Abraham:
Genesis 18:14 – ‘Is there anything too hard for the Lord?’
Later Jeremiah gives the answer: “There is NOTHING too hard for You.
#2. There is no promise too hard for God to keep
God will keep His word, if God made the promise He cannot lie.
Numbers 23:19 – God is not a man that He should lie – If He said it He shall do it.
#3. There’s no prayer too hard for God to answer
Jesus said in:
Matthew 21:22 – And whatever you ask for in prayer, believing, you will receive
When you ask in prayer and believe you’ll receive
#4. There is no problem too hard for God to solve
God specializes in things that seem impossible
Now God may not solve your problem the way you want Him too but there’s no problem too hard for God to solve.
#5. There is no person too hard for God to save
God can save anyone if he’ll come to Him
1 Timothy 2:4 – Who wants all people to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.
The mystery of man’s limiting power
Did you know that we can limit Almighty God?
There is nothing too hard for God
Yet let me tell you how you can God limit God
A. An unwilling spirit
You have the dubious (twyfelagtige) privilege to say no to the Lord
If you’re not willing there are not enough angels in heaven to drag you to Jesus
B. An unconcerned attitude
Revelation 3:20 – Jesus said: ‘Behold I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him…’
God has limitless power
Do you think there’s any door that could keep out the Lord of Glory if He wanted to open it?
Yet Jesus stands at the door knocking until someone decides to let Him in.
C. An unreasonable mindset
People say I will not go to church because I was forced to go by my mother (I imagine his mother made him bath too, so now he doesn’t bath anymore. J)
Some say there are Hypocrites in the church
Some lawyers are sharks
Some doctors are suspect and
Some money is counterfeit
But if you need a lawyer or a doctor you will find one and you haven’t burned all your cash because some money is fake.
“I’d like to be a Christian but there’s just so much to give up!”
(It’s like saying I’d like to be healed but I don’t want to give up my cancer)
The only things God asks you to give up are things that will hurt you!
D. An unclean lifestyle
Did you know if you harbor sin in your heart you have limited God and kept Him from answering your prayer.
Isaiah 59:1-2 – Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save nor His ear too dull to hear – but your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you so than He will not hear.”
E. An unbelieving heart
All sin is terrible but one of the worst sins is unbelief
Unbelief can be very devastating
Matthew 13:58 – And He did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.
Faith is the channel through which our Risen Lord pours His life into you.
I want to remind you there is Nothing too hard for God!
Only we can limit God
God’s promise to you is:
Ephesians 3:20(Amp) – Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us.
