Impacting life’s disasters #1 – You’ve got what it takes

IMPACTING LIFE’S DISASTERS
You’ve got what it takes
Pastor George Lehman

You’ve got what it takes is made up in your Spiritual

DNA – Devine Natural Ability

2 Peter 1:3 (AMP)

For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through a true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.”

Your attitude to hardships, disasters and difficulties is what will make you – or break you.

There’s a scripture in Daniel 11:32 which is a “Prophetic Statement of Daniel”.

Daniel 11:32 (b) (LB) :- “But the people who know their God shall be strong and do great things”.

Jesus is here referring to this portion in Daniel 11.

In Matthew 24:15 NIV “So when you see standing in the holy place ’The abomination that causes desolation’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel-let the readers understand”

Jesus is talking about the end times, of disasters, hardships, lawlessness will increase, and pressure on us to walk in victory.

That’s why Daniel says in Daniel 11:32 AMPL:- “The people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand firm and do exploits* for God”.

Exploits: – Do bold things, to do daring things.

God is simply saying that His people – Impact life’s disasters.

They are not impacted and defeated and lose hope and fall apart by life’s disasters

(Soccer ball theory) A ball kicked at you, and it hits you on the head can be very sore, but like a soccer player that Impacts the ball with his head with purpose gets a very different result

This scripture in Matthew 24 refers to us, the end time people.

Think about it – life as we know has changed our lives overnight.

Never forget, we have an enemy of our souls, the devil – the main cause who comes to only kill, steal and destroy.

 Revelation 12:12 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Therefore rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them [in the presence of God]. Woe to the earth and the sea because the devil has come down to you in great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time [remaining]!”.

Ephesians 6:12 We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but principalities, rulers, powers of this dark world.

We understand life. Today everything is going well, it could not be better and, Tomorrow, out of nowhere disaster strikes.

Right now we are confronted with so many changes

None of us knows what tomorrow holds – or what it may bring

but “You’ve got what it takes” – no matter what.

It is not for religious people, or your average churchgoers, those who only say “I believe”.

This is for saved, born again people, those who have a personal relationship with Jesus.

It is for those who “Know their God”.

It is only God’s people that will be able to draw – Devine strength,

Power and Ability from God.

Its your D N A = Divine Natural Ability –

To face these uncertain changing times that confronts our lives each day.

Question: “Does Jesus make a difference in your life?”

When Jesus comes to live in our lives, His Holy Spirit, with all the resources of God becomes available to ME.

Ephesians 6:10 :- “Be strong in the Lord and the Power of His might”.

We are expecting many things from God, But

You must really understand God expects from us–

To be strong

To be brave

To be bold

To be courageous

To be confident.

It is not just a good idea, it is God idea.

Daniel 11:32 :- “The people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and stand firm”.

The Hebrew word for “strong” says –

They will display strength

They will display courage

They will display boldness.

God is expecting us to rise up.

Ephesians 3:16 :- “That we will be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner-man by the Holy Spirit Himself, indwelling your innermost being and personality”.

Can I say it boldly – “YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES!”.

Romans 8:11 :- “The same sweet Spirit that rose Jesus from the dead lives in you and me”.

Here are some biblical examples –

2 Timothy 2:1: – “So you my Son, be strong (strengthened inwardly) in the grace (spiritual blessing) that is to be found only in Christ Jesus”.

Philippians 4:13 (AMPL):- “I have strength for all things in Christ, who empowers me (I am ready and equal to anything through Him who infuses inner strength into me)”.

How can you say this Paul?

In Philippians 4:12 :- “I have learned in disaster and lack and in plenty”.

“You’ve got what it takes!”

God assured Paul that :- “My grace is sufficient for you, for My Power (ability is perfected in weakness” – 2 Corinthians 12:9.

I don’t know what may be going through at this difficult time right now or what you may have to face in the future.

All I want to say is:-

“You’ve got what it takes!”

That is why God reminds Joshua in Joshua 1:9 :- “Have I not commanded you?  Be strong, vigorous and very courageous – I will be with you wherever you go

God provides for us to be strong –

By assuring us of His incredible purpose for our lives and our future –

Jeremiah 29:11 :”For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans to give you hope and a future”.

When you are submitted to His will – nothing and no one can derail His plan for your life.

“You’ve got what it takes!”
