‘Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.’- 1 Corinthians 13:13

Faith for What?

Greater things!

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. ‘ John 14:12

‘These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.” –  Mark 16:17-18

Faith for What?

Hope

‘I asked you to come here today so we could get acquainted and so I could explain to you that I am bound with this chain because I believe that the hope of Israel—the Messiah—has already come.” They replied, “We have had no letters from Judea or reports against you from anyone who has come here. But we want to hear what you believe, for the only thing we know about this movement is that it is denounced everywhere.” – Acts 28:20-22

Faith for How?

Love

‘So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” – John 13:34-35

‘We love each other because he loved us first. – 1 John 4:19

‘ “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. – Matthew 6:14

Faith for When?

The Cross

Luke 22:3,21,24,31-33,47-48,61-62 –

3Then Satan entered into Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve disciples,

21“But here at this table, sitting among us as a friend, is the man who will betray me.

24Then they began to argue among themselves about who would be the greatest among them.

31“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. 32But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.” 33Peter said, “Lord, I am ready to go to prison with you, and even to die with you.”

47But even as Jesus said this, a crowd approached, led by Judas, one of the twelve disciples. Judas walked over to Jesus to greet him with a kiss. 48But Jesus said, “Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”

61At that moment the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Suddenly, the Lord’s words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.” 62And Peter left the courtyard, weeping bitterly. ‘
